Belgium
The Windekind school is a small school in Brussels, the capital of Belgium and of Europe. It's located in Molenbeek, which is a multicultural neighbourhood in the heart of the city. This makes our school a typical city school. The pupils of the 5th class will participate in Schoolovision 2009.
Bulgaria
Our school, in Gorna Oryahovitsa is situated at the very top of the town and the view is quite picturesque. There are 815 students from 6 to 19 years old. Our school was established 150 years ago and the present year in April we will celebrate an important аnniversary. There are about 40000 citizens and the town is only 5 km away from the so called City of the Bulgarian kings - Veliko Tarnovo. Our website
Cyprus
Our primary school is called B Potamou Germasogeias. It is located in Limassol which is in the southern part of Cyprus, near the sea. The school is relatively new, it was built in 1998. The school has about 400 pupils (6-12 years old), Greek Cypriots in their majority. Many classes are willing to participate, so a competition will take place in our school soon in order to select the best song to represent our country.
Czech Republic
We are from the Czech Republic. Our school is situated in the centre of Brno, the capital of Southern Moravia Region. It is also the second largest city in the Czech republic with almost 400 000 inhabitants. The building of our school was opened in 1883 and it is situated below famous Spilberk castle. In our school there are about 350 pupils from 6 to 15. They are divided into two parts (and also two buildings) - the primary level (6-11) and the lower-secondary level (11-15). Our website
Denmark
Stadil-Vedersø Skole is a public primary school. It is located near the North Sea, 120 km east of Århus and 15 km north of Ringkøbing. We have 80 children (age 6-12) in the school. In the same buildings we have "Childrens house," an institution with 70children. (age 3-10) We thank you for the invitation and will do our best. Good luck to everybody! Our website
England
Church Aston Infants School is situated in Church Aston, Newport,Shropshire. We are a very small infant school. Pupils are aged from 4 to 7 years. We love to sing and are looking forward to composing and uploading our song. Our website
Estonia
Gustav Adolf Grammar School is located in Tallinn, in Estonia. It has about 1000 students aged 7-19. Our school is 378 years old.
Finland
Kuvansi school is situated in eastern Finland, close to the town of Varkaus. Although it is a small country school, it cannot be underrated, as everyone knows that Finland has pulled off big shocks in the real Eurovision Song Contest before! Class 3 will take part in the project.
France
The "Ecole publique de Florentin" is located in the south west of France, around 75 kilometers north of Toulouse. There are around 90 children from 2to 12 years old in the school. CM1 and CM2 (4th and 5th year of primary school) are taking part in Schoolovision.
Germany
Freie Schule Kassel is a small school founded by a parents' initiative some 20 years ago. Kassel is situated in the centre of Germany close to the former border. We have already been doing school song contests once in a while and we are delighted to send our winning team of this year's FSSDS(Freie Schule sucht den Superstar) to have a go for Germany in this project. Germany hasn't reached a good position for quite a while now. So we guess, it is high time we made it once more! Our website
Greece
The Primary School of Skopelos-Lesvos is a public school situated in Skopelos in the south-east of the island Lesvos, Greece. Skopelos is a small village 25 kilometres near the capital of the island (Mytilene,) with population 2.000 residents.There are 100 pupils in school and 6th grade will take part to Schoolovision Contest. Hungary
Fasori Kicsinyek Óvodája kindergarten is situated in Budapest, in Hungary. Although the children are young- 5- 7 years old, we are keen singers and will entertain you! Our website
Iceland
Iceland are represented by Flataskoli Gardabaer which is situated not far from the capital of the island, Reykjavík. Flataskoli is a primary school with 320 students aged 6 to 12 years old. It was established in 1958 so we are celebrating 50 years of our school this year. We are doing a lot of activities because of the 50th years anniversary and this is a good opportunity to do something different.
In late March, we held our school elimination round, called Flatovision, where many pupils sang songs and we chose a winner. So, the song we will sing is called "Open your Heart" and we hope you all enjoy listening to it in May. Our website
Ireland
Réalt na Mara Sinsear is Irish and it means Star of the Sea and it is run by the Sisters of Mercy. We have 89 students in our school this year and we look forward to being the Irish entry for the Schools Eurovision Song Contest project. Our website
Italy
Scuola Primaria San Giovanni Bosco is situated in Dairago, a small town very close to Milan. There are more or less 200 children from 6 to 11 years old. Classes IV A and IV B are going to sing for all of you a fantastic song about friendship!
Latvia
Jelgava Primary School is not very large, it has about 600 students aged 5-16. We are of 15 nationalities, but we speak Russian at school. As our state language is Latvian ,we study it since form 1 . We also study English and German (optionally). We like to sing and we have a good choir at our school. Our school has good old traditions. Look out- Latvia wants to win Schoolovision! Our website
Lithuania
Look out for Lithuania! Juventos Basic School in Siauliai is a large school, with nearly 1000 pupils. It has a rich tradition of music and dance, and as such, can be expected to be a very strong entry in Schoolovision 2009. Our website
Malta
Dun Gorg Preca Primary School C, in Hamrun, on the island of Malta is delighted to join Schoolovision. Who knows, perhaps the tiny island could provide the winner of Schoolovision 2009... Our website
Netherlands
The Fugelflecht is a relatively small school in the city of Franeker. Franeker is located in the north of the Netherlands and has about 14,000 inhabitants. The Fûgelflecht is a primary public education. We operate from the principle of Dalton. The building was opened on October 11, 1973. Currently 136 students visit our school.

Norway
Odda Primary School is located in Odda city. The oldest part of the school's building is from 1912, but has been refurbished and built on. In January 1998 we used a new, modern extension that includes all 6-year-olds and Children Day-care Center. In January 2003 we’ve got a new ICT- Center and school library. The school has 440 pupils and 65 adults are working there. Odda local authority has about 7100 inhabitants. We are an industrial city with two big factories; Boliden, a zinc company established in 1924, and Tinfos owned by the Eramet Group.
Poland
"Szkoła Podstawowa nr 1" is located in the south west of Poland,in the heart of Europe, 200 km west of Wrocław, 100 km north of Prague (CZ) and 200 km east of Berlin (D) . There are around 450 children, 6 - 12 years old. All our students like singing so we have to make school eliminations to select the best song. Besides singing we all learn play on whistles. Portugal
A big, warm hug from Portugal! EB 2,3/S Cunha Rivara is situated in Arraiolos, a small village famous for its tapestry: Arraiolos Rugs. Arraiolos is in Alentejo which stays in Planícies (Plains) and it’s near Évora, World Heritage city very beautiful. If you want to visit us visit this site: In these 7 videos you can see the city where I live, Évora, our gastronomy, our wine, our bread, heritage, main square, market, hotels, restaurants, Diana Temple, a roman temple, some historical places...you can also visit Évora by night and go to some exhibitions... listen to our music and travel! 5th Year will sing for all Europe celebrating joy and friendship with one of our traditional folk music.
Romania
School "Vladimir Streinu" Teiu is situated in southern Romania at a distance of 30 miles of city Pitesti, tulips’city, in Teiu village. Includes primary school cycle and secondary education cycle with a total of 100 children. Teiu School has a long history and strong bearing the name of a great Romanian poet “Vladimir Streinu”. In our school, nothing is coincidence: pupils are very good workers despite the precarious situation from which some of them, with much appetite for life and optimistic. They are proud of what they do and make everything thinking a better future for themselves and for their fellow pupils.
Scotland
Yester Primary School is located in south east Scotland, around 25 miles east of the capital city, Edinburgh. There are 160 children in the school. Yester's P5 class are taking part in Schoolovision. Our website
Slovenia
We are a primary school from Domzale, a town 15 km northeast of Ljubljana, the capital city. Slovenia is a very small country - it has a population of about 2 million, but there isn't a thing we can't do. So we are looking forward to taking part in Schoolovision 2009. Let's have fun. Our website
Slovakia
The school is situated in Poprad, in the north of Slovakia in beautiful hilly surroundings. This school serves for students from very near area. The school specialises in sports and languages. We have very good facilities for practising athletics and football. Our website
Spain
Our school is in a middle-sized town near Toledo. It's a small school with only 208 children. The class that will take part is 6th grade (11-12). There are 26 children and they are very interested on the project. Thanks a lot and best wishes to all countries taking part!
Sweden
Grimsås school is 50 years old. It is a quite small school, with about 90 pupils in the ages from 6 - 13. It is a countryside school in the south part of Sweden, 120 km from Gothenburg. In class five there are 14 pupils, 11 boys and 3 girls. It is a good, smart, active BUT talkative class. We will do our best to make a good entry in Schoolovision! Our website
Turkey
We are from Turkey. Our school, Nazire Merzeci Ilkogretim Okulu, is situated in İzmir where is the third biggest city of our country. It has a lot of tourist attractions and it is famous for its seaside. Our school was established 18 years ago. It is very large, it has about 1800 students aged 6-14. They are divided into two parts - the primary level (6-11) and the lower-secondary level (11-14). We love singing and look forward to uploading our song.
